Doda, May 23: Prince Cricket Club (PCC) Bhalessa registered a 5-wicket win over Delhi Riders to move into the next round of the ongoing All India 8th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship, being organized by Young Star Cricket Club, Doda at Sports Stadium, here.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Delhi Riders scored a paltry total of 103 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Devinder Kohli and Mohit Garg were the major contributors with 23 and 21 runs respectively. For PCC Bhalessa, Ahsan and Vinod shared 2 wickets each.
Riding on a superb half-century (51) by Irfan PCC Bhalessa chased the target easily in 18.3 overs by losing 5 wickets and won the match by 5 wickets. Jagmohan also contributed 20 runs to the total. For Delhi Riders, Devinder Kohli and Mohit shared 2 wickets each. Irfan was adjudged man of the match for his splendid half-century.
He was presented the award by Chitra Agarwal, daughter of former BCCI International Umpire, SK Bansal.
The match was officiated by Dharmesh Bhardwaj, Sanjay Singh and Dherender Singh.
