JAMMU, Dec 14: Presentation Convent Senior Secondary School, Jammu, organized its Annual programme today at the school premises. Major General Mukesh Bhanwala, GOC, 26 Infantry Division, was the chief guest on the occasion, while Bhavna M Bhanwala graced the event as the guest of honour.
The students of classes IX and XI presented an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s tragedy, King Lear. The theatrical performance, attended by parents and alumni, showcased the creativity and artistic talent of the students, bringing to life the themes of political power, personal ambition, greed and deceit that form the heart of the tragedy.
This inaugural play was part of the Annual Event, specially organized for the alumni, bringing them together as part of a growing community. The alumni enjoyed a nostalgic reunion, reminiscing about cherished moments spent at the school.
Major General Bhanwala, the chief guest, lauded the efforts of the staff and students for their outstanding performance of King Lear. In her address, Sr. Amelina Rodrigues, Principal of the School, congratulated the alumni for their remarkable achievements in various fields and extended season’s greetings to all.
