Pre-qualifier matches for White Knight League get underway

JAMMU, May 19: Pre-qualifier matches of White Knight Premier League, being organised by Indian Army’s Crossed Swords Division, entered 2nd day, here today.
In today’s match, Kathua Blues defeated Champions Hiranagar by 9 wickets in a thrilling match where Kanwalpreet Singh was declared the man of the match by scoring 48 runs off 14 balls, studded 5 fours and 4 sixes, while Aditya was declared as man of the moment for scoring 37 runs.
Shiv Kumar gave a good lead to Champions Hiranagar and scored 54 runs but couldn’t chase the set target and bundled out 133.
In reply, the Kathua Blues chased the target easily by losing one wicket and registered 9 wickets win over their opponents with the help of Gaurav and Amit’s 67 runs partnership.
Mahesh Gupta, a renowned social activist, JKCA manager Ravinder Slathia and Army officials were among the special guests of the match. They presented man of the match and man of the moment prizes to the players.
