JAMMU, Sept 17: A large number of Powerlifting players held a peaceful protest at J&K State Sports Council, MA Stadium, here today.
The protesters said that Rajan Jain, who projects himself to be general secretary of the Association, has no right to select players for National or International Power Lifting events.
While raising slogans against the self-styled general secretary, they alleged that the players are being selected on specific conditions by Mr Jain, which involves favoritism and nepotism.
The protesters further said that many complaints have been made against him but Council is yet to take any action.
They warned Sports Council authorities to take action against him, failing which may force them to take the agitational route.
