JAMMU, Oct 16: The Red Ribbon Committee of GGM Science College in collaboration with J&K AIDS Control Society, H&ME Department today organized a poster making competition on “Blood Donation” under the patronage of College Principal Dr Ravinder Tickoo.
The objective of the competition was to raise awareness about blood donation and inculcate the spirit of selfless service in the students.
The event was held through online mode wherein 17 students of the College include the NCC cadets and NSS volunteers presented self-made posters highlighting the importance of blood donation and the need to stand with this cause.
Dr. Hitesh Basotra, Associate Professor from the Department of Physics and Dr Ajay Gupta, Associate Professor from the Department of Chemistry were the judges for the event.
The first prize of Rs 1000 was bagged by Ritika, whereas Corporal Manbhi won 2nd prize of Rs 750 and the 3rd prize of Rs 500 was won by Sandeep Sharma.
