JAMMU, Jan 6: To promote awareness and understanding of India’s Labour Codes among the younger generation, Office of the Assistant Labour Commissioner, Jammu successfully organized a poster making competition on Labour Codes in National Skill Training Institute for Women, Chatha Jammu.
The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who creatively expressed key themes related to Labour rights, worker welfare, social security, industrial relations and safe working conditions as outlined in the Labour Codes. The event aimed to encourage students to engage with important art and visual expression.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr Rupali Jasrotia, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Jammu who highlighted the importance of spreading awareness about labour laws and their role on protecting the rights of workers while ensuring balanced industrial growth. The event was attended by Labour Officers, District Mission Coordinator Mission Shakti, District Officer Social Welfare.
Participants showcased remarkable creativity, originality and awareness in their posters. Sonam, Aarti and Mehpara were the winner and the runner-ups of the competition and awarded with certificates and prizes while the all participants received certificates of participation.
The competition concluded with a vote of thanks by Regional Director of National Skill Training Institute for Women J&K and Ladakh.
