POONCH, Nov 29: District Poonch’s Under-17 Hockey Team qualified for the upcoming 49th Sub-junior Nehru Hockey Tournament (boys) which is scheduled to be held at New Delhi from December 26 to January 6, 2022.
It is a proud moment for the district Poonch as its team has qualified for the prestigious tournament by giving splendid performance at the UT level Hockey tournament, organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports at Udhampur.
It is pertinent to mention here that out of 16 players, 13 players are from Sham Lal Hockey Club Poonch practicing at Sports Stadium Poonch under Hockey coaches including Pawan Kumar, Mukesh Kumar and Navjot Singh.
