RAJOURI, Oct 2: The 3-day inter district kabaddi tournament for boys under the age group of 17 years concluded today at Mini stadium, here.
Being organized by Youth Services and Sports department, the objective of the tournament was to promote sport activities in the district.
Pertinently, teams from 17 districts of Jammu and Kashmir participated in the tournament in which Poonch district emerged as winner while Kathua district remained runner up.
District Development Commissioner, Shabir Ahmed Bhat, was the chief guest while Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mumtaz Choudhary was the guest of honor at the concluding ceremony who distributed trophies among the winner and runner up team.
The DDC said that the state has abundant sport talent and such tournaments are best platform to tap this skill of the youth enable them compete at national and international level. He asked them to actively participate in such type of sports events to be physically and mentally fit
