DODA, May 15: District Police in collaboration with SDRF organised a motor boating in River Chenab near Pul Doda to instil the spirit of adventure sports among young people, here today.
The event was attended by School children along with staff members of Doda Schools.
SSP Doda, Abdul Qayoom while interacting with the participants briefed them about the importance and values of games and sports activities which help in developing the personality of an individual besides channelizing the energy in a better way and also keep away from bad habits.
He stressed upon the participating children to actively participate in sports activities which will definitely help them to be fit and healthy. The staff members and children of participating Schools thrilled the boating sail and appreciated the role of Police in organizing such programmes.
It is pertinent to mention here that this is the first ever sports event organized by District Police and the participants thanked Police for giving them the opportunity to experience this wonderful event.
