UDHAMPUR, May 19: New events of Poetic meet and Hiran Dance introduced for the first time, attracted big crowds at Mongri Mela that took place in district Udhampur.
Both the events took place under the chairmanship of President Senior Citizens’ Forum Katra, Shiv Kumar Sharma and supported by Channey Ram (Retd. ZEO).
These two events were inaugurated by the chief guest, Saraf Singh Naag (KAS) the guest of honour, Swatanter Dev Kotwal (Advocate) and Mela Officer, Tehsildar Moungri, Pankaj Singh Bahu.
Prominent among the participants in poetic meet were Gopal Krishan Komal (Retd. ZEO), Amar Nath (Headmaster), Bishan Dass Gharia, Master Maheshwer and Master Pintu.
Among those prominent present were DySP Himant Singh, DySP Sameer Jeelani, SHO Farooq, Varinder Kumar Badyal, Sarpanch Hans Raj Thakur, Babu Ram Sharma, Sansar Chand, Chunni Lal, Darshan Lal Gupta, Rakesh Kumar, Kuldeep Sharma (PEM) and Ramesh Kumar.
