RAMBAN, Jan 8: To provide platform to the youths of the area to show their talents and sensitise them against the evil effects of the drugs and other criminal activities, Protection of Humanity Organisation (PHO) in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP), Ramban District Police organised Volleyball Tournament at Government Higher Secondary School, here today.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Headquarter Ramban, Imtiyaz Ahmad was the chief guest who inaugurated the tournament whereas president PHO Akther Abaas Naik presided over the function.
The DySP said that JKP in collaboration with PHO organised this tournament with a clear message to society that police is committed to have drug free society and look forward for their support and active cooperation of likeminded social organization to fight this menace at an earliest.
Mr Naik said that the main motive of organising such events is to help youth not to derail from the mainstream.
The inaugural match was played between Volleyball Team Neel and Kabbi. The final will be played tomorrow between the winning team and team from other district.
