POONCH, Aug 8: Power House Hockey Club (PHHC) registered 2-1 goals win over Stadium XI in the women category during the ongoing District Poonch Hockey Championship, being organized by Hockey Poonch under the aegis of Hockey J&K at Sports Stadium, here today.
In the first and second half, players of both the teams maintained supremacy on each other and the match ended with no goal.
In the penalty shootout, Abhilove of Power House Hockey Club (PHHC) netted the goal, which was equalized by Mridhu of Stadium XI.
In the sudden death, enthusiastic Abhilove scored the goal, but the player of Stadium XI failed to net the goal and thus Power House Hockey Club won the match by 2-1 goals and entered into the next stage.
On the occasion, Mohan Choudhary, DFO was the chief guest, while Nirdosh Kumar, Incharge Sports Stadium was the guest of honour. Ram Parkash, Mukesh Kumar, Mushtaq Ahmad, Boxing coach, besides many others were also present.
The match was officiated by Sohil, Akshay, Kavleen, Akash and Power Kumar, Hockey Coach.
The Championship is being organized under the supervision of Sham Lal Sharma, Vice President, Hockey J&K.
