Pearson enters into partnership with Banyan International School

JAMMU, Nov 19: Pearson, the world’s leading learning company today announced its partnership with Banyan International School, the renowned co-educational pre-primary, primary and senior secondary school in Jammu.
Pearson will henceforth take care of the overall management of the school- from the programme curriculum being designed and administered to the training of the teachers etc.
This was formally informed during a press conference, here today, by Jairam Balkrishnan, senior vice-president of Pearson School, who was flanked by Sneh Gupta, Chairman of the Banyan International School and others.
“We are extremely pleased about associating ourselves with the prominent Banyan International School in Jammu. We look forward to work with such a highly regarded institution and taking it to greater heights,” Mr Balkrishnan said.
Given that Jammu is increasingly growing in terms of education institutions, we look forward to associating with many more schools in the northern region and creating a benchmark in the education sector, he added.
The move significantly emphasizes Pearson’s footprint in the northern region and the partnership with Banyan International is the latest addition to the list of 30 Pearson Schools in the country so far.
“Pearson looks forward to strengthening the offerings of the Banyan International School by introducing initiatives such as digitally equipped class rooms, certified teachers training programmes, unique learning methodology for students, parent-friendly technology and so on,” Mr Balkrishnan said.
