Patel CC, Lucky Club register wins in Winter Shield T20 Cup

JAMMU, Mar 29: Patel Cricket Club and Lucky Cricket Club registered emphatic wins over their rivals in the ongoing Winter Shield T20 Cup, being organized by SCA, J&K Sports Council under the supervision of Dr Naseem Choudhary, Secretary J&K Sports Council at Parade ground, here.
In the first match played today, Patel Cricket Club defeated Mayank Cricket Club by 5 wickets.
Batting first, Mayank Cricket Club scored a modest total of 92 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Ajay (20), Arjun (18) and Robin (16) were the main scorers.
From Patel Club, Sachin took 5 wickets, Nityam bagged 3, while Gurinder and Anchal claimed 1 wicket each.
In reply, Patel Cricket Club chased the target in 13.2 overs for the loss of 5 wickets, thus won the match by 5 wickets. Abhishek (32), Rishab (13) runs and Aryan (12) were the main scorers. From bowling side, Ajay and Prabjot took 1 wicket each. Sachin was declared as the man of the match.
In another match, Lucky Club defeated Media XI Cricket Club by 10 runs.
Batting first, LCC scored 128 runs in 20 overs. Ridham top scored with 33 runs, while Himal (21) and Jugjap (19) were the other main scorers. From Media XI, Faheem took 3 wickets, Yash bagged 2 wickets while Vivek Suri and Arif claimed 1 wicket each.
In reply, Media XI managed to score 118 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 8 wickets, thus lost the match by 10 runs. Sunil Bali top scored with 46 runs, while Vivek Suri and Ujjwal contributed 16 and 12 runs respectively. From LCC, Rhydham and Dhruv took 2 wickets each,while Mehran and Jugjap claimed 1 wicket each. Rydham was declared as the man of the match.
The matches were officiated by Vijay, Dayal and Ashok Singh.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Media will take on Secretariat XI at 10 am, while Horizon XI will face Vridhi Royals at 1.30 pm.
Meanwhile, the match between Stadium XI Kathua and Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Club which was earlier scheduled to be played on March 30 at 1.30 am, will now be played on March 31 at 8:30 am.
