JAMMU, Feb 1: Deputy Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation, Advocate Purnima Sharma honoured educators from Jammu who represented India in the 21st Global Youth Leadership Summit-2021 held at Kathmandu, Nepal, here today.
The delegates participated from Jammu in the Summit were Dr Atul Hans Director Principal of International Daily Rising School Jammu, Ritesh Kapoor, Er Naresh Kumar- Chairman Learning Temple High School, Sumit Kumar Verma- Director Sacred Heart Public School, Sandeepan Gupta- Senior Lecturer Govt SRML Model School, Dheeraj Bharti- MD The Pillars Institute, Dr Rachna Sharma- Educationist and NCC officer, APS Jammu, Amit Choudhary- Manager Sacred Heart Public School.
About 40 countries participated in the Summit including India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, Thailand, Myanmar, South Africa, USA, UK, Iraq and others, wherein 21 delegates representing India were from six different cities including eight delegates from Jammu.
The delegation briefed the Deputy Mayor that during the Summit, the entire delegation was felicitated with the Global Youth Leadership Award-2021 by the Vice President of Nepal, Nand Bahadur Pun at National Assembly Hall organised by Global Youth Parliament.
The Summit was organised from November18 to 21, 2021 at Convention Hall of Hotel Radisson, Kathmandu, Nepal where 104 delegates from 40 different countries participated.
Advocate Purnima Sharma during her address congratulated the delegation for representing Jammu and Kashmir and the nation at large. She said global learning will definitely boost the educators and such explorations and exchange of ideas are the need of the hour when children are becoming technically strong.
