JAMMU, Apr 8: Outplaying their rivals convincingly in the quarterfinals, Param Football Club (FC) and Vijay Heroes entered the semifinals of the ongoing 1st Vishal Heer Memorial Football Tournament, being organized by Young Heroes Football Club, under the auspices of Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) at GGM Science College Football ground, here.
In the first match, Param FC defeated the young side of JK Bank Academy by a solitary goal and the goal scorer was Tafazul Irshad in the 48th minute of the match.
Yellow card was shown to Ravi of JK Bank Academy in 44th minute and Sanpreet Singh of Param FC in 67th minute of the match. For his superb display of soccer skills, Arun Naghial of Param FC was adjudged man of the match.
In another match, Vijay Heroes trounced Young Rovers by six goals to five (6-5) via tie-breaker.
The match eneded in a (1-1) tie in the stipulated time, with Achal Sharma scoring goal for Vijay Heroes in 2nd minute of the game and Koushal pelting the same for Young Rovers in 25th minute of the match.
In the tie-breaker, Achal Sharma, Dushant Sharma, Surjeet, Sahil Kumar and Kajal Singh succeeded in scoring goals for Vijay Heroes, while Sourab Jangral, Rahul Kumar, Sanju Jangral and Abhimanyu managed to score goals for Young Rovers. For Young Rovers, Vishal Angral missed the goal in tie-breaker. Anchal Sahrma of Vijay Heroes was declared man of the match for his splendid performance.
Yellow cards were shown to Nakul of Vijay Heroes and Sourab Jangral of Young Rovers in 30th and 55th minutes respectively.
The matches were officiated by Tanpreet Singh, Harmanjeet Singh, Ramesh Kumar, Rohit Kumar Gupta, Suresh Gupta, Koushal Kumar and Ricky Kumar.
Prominent among others the matches were witnessed by Harbans Lal, Charan Dass, Devi Dass, Rajesh Sumbria, Ramesh Chander, Surjeet Singh, Rohit Kumar and Tushar Heer.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Sainik Colony will take on NGR at 3:30 pm at the same venue.
