AKHNOOR, Dec, 12: Pallanwalla Club Akhnoor trounced Youth Club Akhnoor by 2-1 sets in a thrilling contest and lifted the 4th phase of Range Police Volleyball Friendship Cup at Higher Secondary School Volleyball ground, here today.
Atul Goel, SSP Jammu was the chief guest in the valedictory function while ML Kaith SP Rural was the guest of honour. The chief guest and the other dignitaries distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams.
Earlier, in the summit clash, Pallanwalla Club Akhnoor trounced Youth Club Akhnoor by 2-1 sets in the 3 sets game in a thrilling contest. All college students of Higher Secondary School and the locals were present on the final match and celebrated on each and every point which went in favour of their favourate team. They supported a lot to the finalist teams.
SSP Jammu Atul Goel while speaking said that he feels happy to watch the thrilling final match of Range Police Volleyball Friendship Cup Akhnoor here. He further said that the JKP has been organizing this Volleyball Friendship Cup under Civic Action Programme with the objective to provide lots of opportunities to the youths for the constructive activities.
Among others who present on the occasion were Rayees Mohd Bhat SDPO Akhnoor, SHO Pardeep Sharma, Sham Singh, Dr Surinder Gupta, Joginder Mangotra and BL Abrol.
Earlier the proceedings of the function were conducted by Sham Singh and the Vote of Thanks was presented by ML Kaith SP Rural.
The tournament was organized by Range Police Headquarters Jammu under the civic action programme of Police headquarters, in which eight teams of the Akhnoor and adjoining areas participated.
