JTGC organizes Putting contest for children

JAMMU, Dec 30: Jammu Tawi Golf Course (JTGC), Sidhra today organized Putting competition to inculcate competitive spirit among budding players.
Principal Secretary, Planning, Development, Monitoring and Information, Rohit Kansal, who was chief guest on the occasion said that Putting contest is an innovative way to entice budding players towards golf and nurture talent in Jammu and Kashmir.
He asked Secretary JTGC to organizing such competitions on regular basis in future, saying that these competitions would go a long way in providing opportunity to the budding players to hone their skills in the game .
As many as 18 budding players both boys and girls between the age group of 5- 12 years drawn from various educational institutions of Jammu province participated in the event.
The event was divided into two categories which include under 8 years and under 12 years. In under 8 years category, Master Arimaan Kansal got first position, while as Master Hrain Shrikul and Master Tehleel Ahmad got second and third position respectively.
Similarly, in under-12 years category, Master Anand Abrol, Master Ayaan Gupta and Master Armaan Gupta were adjudged first, second and third respectively.
Rohit Kansal also gave away certificates to the winners and runners-up on the occasion.
Pertinently, these budding golfers were trained by National Golf Academy of India (NGAI) certified Professional coach Rohit Gupta.
Among others, parents and sports lovers were also present on the occasion.
