Akhnoor, Jan 27: The seven days NSS Winter Camp concluded at GDC Akhnoor, here today. The camp was organized by NSS Unit of the college under the guidance of Prof. Surinder Singh Parihar Programme Officer NSS. During the camp several activities were conducted by the NSS volunteers e.g .beautification of college campus, creating door to door awareness at adopted by village Kotgarhi Akhnoor, about different social security schemes, visited the old age Home at Akhnoor and donated Rs. 4885 to the Ashram, held Quiz Programme on life personality and leadership of Swami Vivekananda, celebrated voters day by holding poster making programme and various ‘Display your Talent’ programmes. A colourful valedictory programme was organized by the volunteers on 27th Jan. 2016. On the occasion the chief guest of the programme was worthy Principal of the college Prof. Dr. S.P.Sharma. In the valedictory, the welcome address was presented by Sonia Sharma student of B.A.Part-III. It was followed by Sraswati vandana. Prof, Surinder Singh Parihar NSS Programme officer presented the report of the camp. On the occasion, volunteers were awarded trophies by the Principal. Speaking as the occasion Principal appreciated the efforts of the volunteers for selfless community works the vote of thanks was presented by Sandeep, student of B.Sc. IV Sem. Other dignitaries present on the occasion were Prof. Monika Malhotra, Prof.Raj Kumar Gupta,Prof. Shamim, Prof. Anshu Sawhney, Prof. Rewa, Prof. M.K.Mussa and Prof. D.N.Sharma.
