JAMMU, July 16: New Star Cricket Club (NSCC) thrashed Bharat Cricket Club (BCC) by a big margin of 141 runs in a one sided match played here today in 1st KPL Pink Cricket Tournament, played at KC Sports Club ground.
Batting first NSCC scored 174 runs for the loss of six wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Rahul Musa played a splendid inning of 101 runs in 51 balls. In his innings, he smashed 9 sixes and 5 fours. Vishal Kanth and Shishu also contributed 24 and 13 runs, respectively to the total.
For BCC, Vikram Handoo and Romil Koul took 2 wickets while Rakesh Tickoo claimed 1 wicket.
In reply, BCC failed to chase the target and bundled out on a paltry score of 33. Karan scored 10 runs in 12 balls while Manish scored 5 runs in 28 balls.
For NSCC, Ishan was the wrecker in chief, who took 5 wickets in 3.1 overs by giving just 7 runs. Rahul Mussa also took two wickets in his four-over spell.
Rahul Mussa was declared as Man of the Match for his all round performance.
The matches were officiated by Rakesh and Sunny as umpires. The tournament is being organized by Krish Sports.
