JAMMU, Dec 17: Niyaz Ahmed’s 4 wickets haul help J&K team to register 3 wickets win over Chhattisgarh in the National Divyang Cricket Tournament, being played at Satna Madhya Pradesh.
Electing to bat first, Chhattisgarh scored 143 runs by losing 7 wickets in 15 overs. Rohit played a magnificent inning of 60 runs, whereas T Shrinivas made 30 runs, Kamal Tondar scored 16 runs and Ashish chipped in 16 runs.
From Jammu and Kashmir, Niyaz Ahmed was the wrecker-in-chief who scalped 4 importance wickets, while Ajeet and Tousf shared 1 wicket each.
In reply, J&K chased the target by losing 7 wickets in the stipulated 15 overs. Aqib was the top scorer with 32 runs, while Aziz made 28 runs, Rahul Sharma scored 22 runs, Romaisar made 15 runs and Ajeet Raj chipped in 11 runs.
From Chhattisgarh, Simpal scalped 2 wickets, whereas Ashish and Nageswar shared 1 wicket apiece.
Niyaz Ahmed was adjudged as Man of the Match for his brilliant bowling performance.
Sham Singh Langeh Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Divyang Cricket Team congratulated the Jammu and Kashmir team for their great performance and also conveyed his wishes to the team for the future matches.
The four nations tournament is being organized by the Divyang Cricket Control Board of India at Satna Madhya Pradesh.
