DODA, Aug 17: Toppling Amir Khan of Jammu in a close contest of the main bout, Nissar of Bhallessa won the Divisional Level Inter-District Wrestling Championship, organised by Bepor Mandal, Changa Sub Division, Gandoh, at Government Higher Secondary School ground, Kilothran, here today.
Wrestlers drawn from Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Doda, Udhampur and Reasi took part in this mega Wrestling event.
The Championship was held under the overall supervision of President of the Mandal, Shafket Ali Rather and was supervised by other members of the Committee.
Jamait Ali Agha, Chairman of the Committee stressed on promoting sports and games in general and the traditional sport of Wrestling in particular.
BDO Changa, Prem Singh, Secretary Mehboob Iqbal Batt and Fayaz Ahmed were present on the occasion.
Winner was awarded a cash prize of Rs 6,000, while runners-up wrestler was given a cash prize of Rs 4,000 by the dignitaries on the occasion.
