Nirvana Academy organizes Dance, Singing competition

RAMBAN, July 27:  Nirvana Academy organized Grand Finale of its ongoing Round 3 Rural and Urban Talent Hunt of Dance and Singing competition on the concluding day of the five-day long event, which included audition, workshop and final competition.
MLA Ramban, Neelam Kumar Langeh was the chief guest whereas Farm Manager Horticulture, Ramban, Rajinder Kumar Lochan and prominent citizen Mushtaq Ahmed Nizami were the guests of honour on occasion. Principal Bharatiya  Vidya Mandir (BVM) School, Pardeep Kumar and prominent citizen, Vishav Bhandu were the special guests.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Langeh said that such events promote budding talent in the State.
A total of 60 participants competed in the competition in senior and junior categories , besides two special performances and two group performances were also held.
In the senior category of dance Ayaz Ali of Government Degree College Ramban, Saneha Parihar of Ramban Public School and Shaiesta Qayoom of Government Higher Secondary School Ramban stood first, second and third respectively whereas Rashu Raju of Government Higher Secondary School Ramban got consolation prize.
Similarly, in junior category in dance Sarita Singh and Priyanka Thaghali both from Kamal Academy Chanderkote and Sakshi Parihar of Bharatiya Vidya Mandir School got first, second and third prizes whereas Akarshan Khajuria from Bharatiya Vidya Mandir School got consolation prize.
In the senior category of singing Tabasum Ara of Government Degree College Ramban, Zia-Ul-Rehman of Government Degree College Ramban and Parveen Akther of Government Higher Secondary School Ramban claimed first, second and third spots respectively, while Soni Katoch of Government Higher Secondary School Ramban got consolation prize. Similarly, in junior category in singing Ritesha Manhas and Ayush Singh both from of National Academy Ramban Imitiyaz Ahmed of Ramban Public School Ramban got first, second and third prize whereas Meet Sharma from Bharatiya Vidya Mandir School got consolation prize.
The special performance award in singing was given to Meenu Puri and Nusrat Malik.
The selected candidates got trained in three day workshop by trainers from Jammu including choreographers Anu Bhardwaj and Sanjeev Mangotra and singer Amit Bhawra from Pathankote.
The competition was adjudged by Kuldeep Kumar (MA Music) renowned classical/ghazal singer and guitarist.
