JAMMU, Nov 3: Salal Power Station of NHPC Limited won the Volleyball finals, defeating CRPF by 3-0.
The tournament was organized by Salal Power Station of NHPC Limited to commemorate the birth Anniversary of Late Sardar Vallavhbhai Patel as ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’.
Himanshu Shekhar, General Manager, Salal Power Station was the chief guest on the occasion.
Rakesh Goel, Chief Engineer (Civil), MG Ghai, Chief Engineer (Civil), a large number of supporters from NHPC, CRPF and locals were present during the match.
Pertinent to mention that Salal Power Station organized Sports Tournaments for various events like Cricket, Volleyball, Badmin-ton and Table Tennis and the teams of CISF, CRPF, NHPC, KV Jyotipuram and JKP participated in the tournament.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Shekhar said that games do not only keep us fit but percolate the habit of team spirit among the players. However, he advised the players to play with the sportsman spirit.
