Nehru PS Mawa celebrates Annual Day

JAMMU, Feb 16: Nehru Public School Mawa Karoda celebrated Annual Day and Prize Distribution Function with pomp and show at Mawa Karoda, here today.
Sham Lal Sharma, Former Minister and BJP leader was the chief guest on occasion, while Baba Chanchal Singh was guest of honour. Sham Singh Langeh and Jasbir Singh Bhau (ZPEO) were the special guests.
The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest and the other dignitaries on the occasion.
Parshotam Lal Sharma, Principal Nehru Public School read the annual report, highlighting the achievements of the School.
Students of different classes presented variety of cultural activities.
The chief guest distributed prizes among the students on the occasion.
While appreciating the growing role of private sector in the field of education, Mr Sharma said healthy competition between schools would ultimately benefit the youngsters and place them in good stead in meeting the challenges of modern times with confidence.
Sharma said that the private schools are playing vital role in education system. With the opening of private schools in the rural areas, it has become convenient for rural children to take advantage of good education imparted by these schools and to compete various competitions in the country.
Sharma also laid emphasis on learning by doing and said that the institution has already blossomed. He appreciated the school management, staff and students for their performances and said that setting up of such a prestigious institution in a rural place not only advances economic progress but also brings in complete transformation in children’s way of life.
He hoped that Nehru Public will play an important role in enhancing and sustaining the quality of education as their endeavour can bring fresh innovation in the system and can go a long way in providing the young generation a platform, expressing their talents, wisdom and vision.
