NCC Jammu, SCC Hoshiarpur register wins

JAMMU, Dec 29: National Cricket Club (NCC) Jammu and Sabi Cricket Club (SCC) Hoshiarpur scripted victories over their rivals to advance in the ongoing 4th Police Martyrs Memorial North Zone T20 Cricket Tournnament at District Sports Stadium, Kathua today.
In the first match, NCC defeated Maharana Partap Sports Club Kathua (MPSCK) by a narrow margin of 12 runs in a close contest.
Batting first, NCC scored a modest total of 139 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 9 wickets in the process.
MPSCK, in reply managed to score 127 runs in the allotted 20 overs, thus lost the match by a narrow margin of 12 runs. Deepak Singh Manhas of NCC was adjudged man of the match for taking 3 wickets. He was awarded a cash prize of Rs 1500.
In aonther match, SCC Hoshiarpur defeated Rinchin Club Jammu by 6 wickets in an easy contest.
Batting first, RCC Jammu scored 114 runs in the stipulated 20 overs by losing 7 wickets, which was chased by SCC in 14.1 overs by losing 4 wickets. Chetan of SCC was adjudged man of the match for scoring 34 runs and claiming 2 important wickets. He was presented Rs 1500 as cash prize.
