JAMMU, Nov 24: Nav Yug Hr Secondary School Upper Shiv Nagar today held a talent show in the school premises in which about 155 students from class 1st to class 10th of host school and Paramount Convent school Rehari colony participated.
The main aim of the show was to showcase the students, build their confidence and provide them a platform to display their inner talent.
The function began with the lighting of the traditional lamp by the Managing Director of School Hardev Singh Jamwal, founder of the School, Chander Kanta, Preetika Jamwal, Principal and Isha Manhas, Principal of Paramount Convent School.
This was followed by presentation of Sarswati Vandhana by Priyanshi Magotra.
The different events in which students participated under Sub Junior, Junior and Senior Categories included Solo Dance, Group Dance, Solo Singing, Skits, Mimicry, Fancy Dress and Jokes.
The prize winners in Solo Dance included Aditya, Mriganka, Veedika Thakur, Shanvi, Priyanshi (1st); Manasvani, Tanmay, Divyanshi Praduman (2nd); Sahibjot, Ayushman, Meenakshi and Harshita (3rd). Mrinalika, Riya Gupta, Ananya, Siya Anshu, Mayuri and Jasleen got consolation prize.
In Group Dance, the group of Karmanya, Rachit, Ansh, Bhanu, Shriya, Praguni, Deepshikha, Sohani got 1st prize, wheras group of Sohani and Meghtusha won 2nd prize and the group of Mehak, Pooja, Isha and Mannat got 3rd prize.
In Solo Song, Shavi, Koushiki and Preedikta got 1st prize, the 2nd prize went to Kashvi Parth and Akshit, whereas Vidushi, Shagun, Aryaman, Parth got 3rd prize. Kartavya got consolation prize.
In Mimicry, Rashi was declared winner.
The skit performed by Dhruv and his friends was declared best and judged as winner.
Asha Tikoo, School Captains Akanaksha and Akshit, House Captian Diksha Mandyal were the judges on the occasion.
Mr Kamal and Seema Baigra were the event organisers. Prizes and trophies were distributed among the winners.
