JAMMU, Feb 27: As part of national building awareness campaign to strengthen the social bonds, communal harmony, peace, tranquility and brotherhood through the medium of sports, NGO-J&K Rural Sports Club in collaboration with International Pool Vegas Rehari organized a day-long Promotional Snooker/Billiards Tournament, here today.
The matches were played on elimination, single knockout basis and were played in Snooker/Billiards, Pool, and 9 (Nine) ball games.
40 players took part in the competition and 24 matches were played.
In Snooker, Aditya Singh was defeated by Gautom Singh in a very spirited match. The score was 40-16.
In Pool, Gotam Jamwal won the title defeating Sahil Bahal, with 3-0 in the final match.
In Nine Ball Category, Kunal Mahajan clinched the title defeating Shwetank Mahajan. By (3-1).
Goutam, Jai Shiv Chawan and Sandeepan were scorers and monitored the matches.
Before the start of the competition, the participants pledged to promote the message of National integration at the grass-root level.
Shakli Dutta proprietor International Pool Vegas was present on the occasion.
