Naman outclasses Sunali in U-14 girls badminton finals

JAMMU, Oct 9: Naman of District Jammu outplayed Sunali of Udhampur in two straight sets (2-0) by (21-3, 21-2) to win the badminton Under-14 girls title in the ongoing Divisional Level Inter-District Tournament in the disciplines of Badminton, Football and Fencing, being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, here.
In the doubles match of this event, Jasleen and Amisheka of Jammu trounced Shaguna and Shivani of Udhampur by (21-7, 21-9), thus helping Jammu defeat Udhampur by (2-0) games.
The tournament is being organized under the overall supervision of Ashok Kumar, Deputy Director Youth Services and Sports Jammu, while Tirath Ram, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Jammu is the organizing secretary.
Meanwhile, Under-14 boys badminton finals, Jammu defeated Udhampur by (2-1) games, while in Under-17 girls title clash, Jammu got better of Udhampur again by (2-1) games.
In Under-19 boys football, Jammu would lock horns with Udhampur in the title clash tomorrow.
Earlier, in the semifinals played today, Udhampur blanked Rajouri by (3-0) goals, while Jammu beat Samba by three goals to one (3-1).
