MVIS wins U-17 boys Inter-School cricket final

VIJAYPUR, May 11: In a thrilling final match, MV International School defeated Higher Secondary School, Vijaypur by 1 wicket to lift the title trophy of the Under-17 boys Zonal Level Inter-School Cricket Tournament at its School ground, here today.
The tournament was organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, under the supervision of Zonal Physical Education Oficer, Vijaypur, Vijay Singh Slathia.
In Under-14 boys category, Jyoti Public High School defeated MV International in the summit clash to win the title, while in the semifinal match played earlier, Jyoti Public High School prevailed over Govt Middle School, Ranjirhi by 9 wickets.
Earlier, in the first match of Under-17 category, Govt Higher Secondary Vijaypur defeated Govt High School Sunjwan by 38 runs, while in the second match Jyoti Public High School got better of Praveen Model High School by 6 runs.
The first semifinal was played between MV International School and Jyoti Public High School wherein MVIS team crushed the opponents and won easily by 9 wickets.
In the second semifinal, Government Higher Secondary School, Vijaypur defeated Netaji Higher Secondary School by 11 runs.
The matches were officiated by Sanjay Gupta, PEM; Rajinder Singh, PEM; Mohinder Kumar, Dalveer Singh, Sarita, Rajkumari and Bawana Koul.
Earlier, Principal, MV International School presented welcome address, while Director, MV International School felicitated the winners and runners-up teams on the occasion.
Hira Lal Abrol, Chairman MVIS lauded the efforts of the students in producing good performances.
