Musaif’s ton helps BRSCC to outplay NCC by 8 runs in Patriots Cup

JAMMU, Apr 25: Brilliant unbeaten century by Musaif Ajaz helped Brigadier Rajinder Singh Cricket Club (BRSCC) to outplay National Cricket Club (NCC) by a narrow margin of 8 runs in the ongoing Patriots 50-Overs One Day Cricket Tournament, being organised by Country Cricket Club at Country Cricket Stadium, Gharota, here today.
Batting first, BRSCC scored a big total of 327 runs in 50 overs, losing 6 wickets in the process. Musaif Ajaz scored magnificent 139 runs, studded with 15 boundaries, while Raghav Sharma, Abhishant Bakshi and Kanan Sharma contributed 61, 55 and 29 runs to the total respectively. From NCC, Vijay Dogra bagged 2 wickets, while Tanmay, Vishwajeet and Umran Malik claimed one wicket each.
In reply, NCC scored 319 runs to lose the match by a narrow margin of 8 runs. Sahil Bhalwal and Aditya Partap Singh contributed 68 and 66 runs respectively, while Pranav Gupta, Manish Dogra and Abdul Samad scored 43, 37 and 25 runs respectively. From BRSCC, Raghav Sharma bagged 3 wickets, while Nitish, Sourav Singh and Sanchit claimed 2 wickets each.
Rajesh Padha, ace fitness exponent of the State along with Sandeep Singh (Sunny), former Ranji Trophy Player were prominent among others to witness the match.
