JAMMU, June 26: J&K’s young First-Class cricketer Musaif Ajaz played a magnificent innings of 97 runs against Amballa Strikers while representing LB Shastri Cricket Academy Delhi in the ongoing Kurukshetra Premier League, being played at Kurukshetra in Haryana.
Batting first, LB Shastri Delhi scored a good total of 235 runs in the stipulated 30 overs, losing 4 wickets in the process. Musaif scored 97 off 75 deliveries, studded with 15 splendid boundaries, while skipper Aaditya contributed 61 off 62 balls with the help of 3 boundaries. Hemant Kataria also scored 35 off 26 deliveries including 5 fours.
Amballa Strikers, in reply managed to score 87 runs to lose the match by a big margin of 148 runs. Aaditya was adjudged as the player of the match for his all-round display, while Musaif Ajaz adjudged as the best performer of the day for his superb batting display.
