Most of J&K players seal berth in different teams

Teams for 3rd PPCPL framed

JAMMU, Apr 11: Teams were framed in the presence of Rajesh Gill former Ranji Player, Member Indian Cricket Association and the Coordinator of the league at KC Sports Club Jammu today for the forthcoming “3rd Police Public Cricket Premier League for Under-19 boys”.
The PPCPL is going to be organized by Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu in collaboration with Senior Cricketers of J&K and KC Sports Club from April 18 to 30 at KC Sports Club Jammu.
The most reputed Under-19 players of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir have steal berth in different teams of the league.
The league will be organized under the guidance of Senior Police Officers and the reputed Cricketers of the Union Territory.
The executive committee of the league includes Chandan Kohli SSP Jammu, SSP Pawan Parihar SO to DIG Jammu, Rajesh Gill CPO and former Ranji Player, Shahid Parvez, Surinder Singh Bagal, Rakesh Koul former Ranji Players, Arjun Choudhary MD KC Sports Club, Ashish Singh MD Horizon Sports Club, Sudhir Singh, Sanjeev Mahajan and Saleem Ur Rehman BCCI Level 1 Umpires.
It needs to mention here that in order to avoid major gatherings the participating teams have composed their teams at their own and have included most of the players from J&K in their respective teams. The verification of documents of the participating players was also conducted in the presence of Rajesh Gill, Sudhir Singh, Avinash Uttam, Davinder Sharma, Saleem Ur Rehman and Sanjeev Mahajan.
Seven teams will participate in the tournament which includes The Game Changer, Friends Club Kathua, Vriddhi Royals, Samar Strikers, Elite Tigers, CAP Smashers and Game Changers Rising Stars.
The franchise owners include Amit Sharma, Sanjeev Mahajan, Rohit Gupta, Raj Singh Khadyal, Tajinder Singh, Avinash Kumar and Ramanpreet Singh Wazir.
For the safety of all participating players during the league, the participating Team Owners were also directed to follow the SOPs issued by the Government, including social distancing, regular use of sanitizers and all players must wear masks except playing eleven of fielding side during the matches.
The cash prizes includes Rs 1.50 lakh for winners, Rs 1 lakh for runners-up, Rs 2000 for man of the match in all matches, LCD for Best Batsman and Bowler, Rs 25,000 for man of the series, besides trophies and certificates will also be given to the runners up and winning teams, informed the Organizing Secretary.
