SRINAGAR, Sept 7: Mohamadiya Football team thrashed SEM Memandar, Shopian in the finals and lifted the title trophy of the Football tournament organized by Shopian Police at Degree College ground.
In the final match, Mohamadiya Football team defeated SEM Memandar Shopian by a solitary goal. Malik Aneeb-ul-Islam of Mohamadiya Institution, Shopian, netted the goal. He was also adjudged as the man of the match.
Sofi Mohd Asim of Jamia Siraj-ul-Aloom, Imam Sahib who scored maximum goals during the tournament was declared as man of the tournament.
On the valedictory function, SP Shopian presented trophies to the winning and runner-up teams in presence of Commandant 14Bn CRPF, Dy SP DAR Shopian, Nodal Officer and sports lovers.
