JAMMU, Apr 18: In an effort to strengthen parent-school collaboration and provide insight into its unique teaching approach, Modern Montessori International (MMI) Preschool, Trikuta Nagar, conducted a warm and engaging Orientation Programme today. The session, led by Principal Poonam Sharma, aimed to familiarise parents with the Montessori method adopted by the school.
All five key areas of Montessori education were clearly explained and thoughtfully demonstrated, enabling parents to understand the hands-on and child-centric approach to learning. The programme highlighted how the method fosters independence, creativity and overall development in young learners.
On the occasion, a presentation was given by the young Montessorians of the school, showcasing their learning experiences and skills. The one-hour session received an overwhelmingly positive response, with parents expressing satisfaction and appreciation for the school’s teaching methodology and environment.
During the programme, the MMI staff was also introduced to the new parents, helping build a strong connection between educators and families.
Director Sapna Rohmetra, while interacting with parents, assured them of the institution’s commitment to the holistic development of students. She also motivated and encouraged the staff, wishing them a successful academic session ahead.
The school aims to maintain a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for children, focusing on both academic and emotional growth. The programme concluded with a brief yet meaningful interaction among parents, the Director and the Principal, making it a truly enriching experience for all.
