Kindergartens infuse values, character in children: Advisor Khan

JAMMU, Dec 29: As the Modern Montessori Pre School Jammu today celebrated Mega Sport Carnival, children of Kindergarten and Nursery enthralled the esteemed gathering with their mesmerizing performances in different events.

Farooq Khan, Advisor to the Lt Governor J&K, was chief guest on the occasion while Jammu University Vice-Chancellor Prof Manoj K Dhar was the guest of honour. Patron MMI Jammu, Neeraj Rohmetra, Directors MMI, Bhavna Rohmetra and Sapna Rohmetra, parents, school children and staff were also present on the occasion.
While addressing the carnival, Farooq Khan maintained that future of the country is bright and in safe hands as the pre-schooling institutions are infusing values, character and other traditions in children in their formative years. He said that not only J&K but country also get benefitted from quality education imparted to children at start of their school through pre-schooling phase.
“Future of country solely depends on the training being imparted to child in early phase of his or her life’s development and all levels of education beginning from pre-school to professional trainings set the path of their overall positive development,” Advisor Khan said and appreciated the management, teachers and training staff for infusing values through several training modules to pre-school children. He hoped that the institution would continue in its endeavour the mission of providing quality education in the region.
Prof Manoj K Dhar, in his address, said that shaping of minds of the children gets initiated in the laps of their mothers but gets culminated at educational institutions. “So every institution has a role to play in inculcating best of the values and ideas in the personas of all the wards admitted there,” he added.
Earlier, the mega carnival began with a formal welcome address by Coordinator MMI Jammu, Monica Sehgal and releasing of balloons by the dignitaries.
Principal MMI, Pragya Gupta presented annual report and highlighted the school’s different achievement during past academic year. She said that in MMI Jammu focus is on holistic development of child in addition to imparting best education through Montessori methodology.
Sapna Rohmetra presented formal vote of thanks while Bhavana Rohmetra congratulated the entire team of MMI for putting such a splendid show.
The school Kindergarten and toddlers presented several performances on themes of race, PT, Gymnastics, Karate, Zumba etc. Children were all dressed up in different Disney characters. Disney parade by the children, dressed up in different Disney characters, gave the feel of Disney land on Jammu University grounds while welcome dance by Pre Nursery children enthralled the whole atmosphere.
PT by children of Play Group and Pre-Nursery was mesmerizing while children of Kindergarten and Nursery performed Karate with full strength and vigour. Gymnastic movements were well organized by the performing children who also displayed various Yoga Aasanas. Zumba by children of Pre-Nursery gave the message of keeping ourselves fit and fine through dance.
