JAMMU, Apr 5: A workshop on “Effective Functioning of IQAC–Issues and Strategies” was organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell of MIER College of Education.
Dr Meenakshi Kilam, Director IQAC, University of Jammu was the chief guest, while the guest of honour was Dr Arun K Gupta, Chairman MIER Group of Institutions. Other dignitaries present on the occasion were Dr Renu Gupta, Director MIER, Dr Adit Gupta, Joint Director MIER, AK Kaul, Head, HR and Quality Assurance and Dr Annie Koul, HoD BEd Department. About 35 participants comprising of Principals and IQAC Coordinators from about 15 NAAC Accredited Colleges across Jammu region also participated.
Dr Renu Gupta, Director MIER presented the welcome address, while Dr Annie Koul, HoD BEd Department told about the purpose of the workshop.
Dr Kilam and Dr Arun K Gupta also expressed their views.
Later technical sessions were conducted which were addressed by Dr Renu Gupta, on the theme ‘IQAC- Its Meaning, objectives and functions’, Anjela Gadroo, Convener, IQAC on ‘Role of Principals and IQAC Coordinators in Quality Sustenance and Enhancement’ and Dr Hemla Aggarwal, Principal, Government College for Women, Parade on ‘Innovations and Best Practices for Quality Enhancement’.
AK Kaul, MIER College presented vote of thanks.
The entire progamme was conducted by Komal Sharma, Asstt Prof, MIER College.
