JAMMU, Dec 28: MHAC School Nagbani celebrated its Annual Day.
The chief guest for the day was Farooq Khan, Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, J&K, while Dr Tahir Firdous, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jammu was the guest of honour.
A warm welcome was accorded to the chief guest by Sween Puri, Principal MHAC School, Nagbani. Wreath Laying and a rich floral tribute were paid to the Founder Maharaja Hari Singh.
Farooq Khan visited the exhibition which was a showcase of creative minds of students.
A guard of honour was given to the Khan followed by an impressive march-past by the students, NCC and Naval Cadets led by the Head Boy and Head Girl of the school.
Principal Sween Puri read out the Annual Report and especially extolled the students on their achievements in various fields–be it academics or sports.
The cultural event was set rolling by evoking blessings of the Goddess of knowledge through the Saraswati Vandana. The day progressed and witnessed the mesmerizing cultural items.
The chief guest in his address paid tribute to the great personalities who conceived this institution. He said that the school has progressed a lot since its inception by the Maharaja Hari Singh.
He added that students should not only be imparted excellent education but also be imparted great values so that they can effectively serve the nation.
The guest of honour in his address said that the school has excelled in almost all the sphere, be it academic, sports or cultural.
As many as 280 trophies for Inter-House activities, 95 National Awards and 180 Academic achievers and students council members have been awarded during the session.
The trophies for academic and co-curricular activities were lifted by Ranbir House for the academic session 2019-20.
In the end, vote of thanks was proposed by Principal Sween Puri.
