MHAC Nagbani sails into semis

JAMMU, Aug 2: MHAC School Nagbani has become the first team to enter semifinals in the boys section of the maiden inter school Basketball championship being conducted by the J&K Basketball Association at MA Stadium here.
In their final outing of the league stage, MHAC Nagbani outplayed Rest of Jammu Green comfortably 38-29. Nagbani coach fielded his bench strength for most time of the match and yet managed to tame the younger opponents easily.
In another match of the day, Jammu Blue lost their rival by a whisker 37-38, with both teams matching each other point by point.
In yet another close match, KCIS managed to beat Jodhamal Public School 37-33, with lead changing sides frequently during the game.
13 matches were played on the third day of the championship.
In girls section, APS Ratnuchak got better of their rival 25-15, RoJ Green defeated MHAC Nagbani, Carmel Convent drubbed RoJ Blue, SMVD beat Banyan International School, RoJ Blue trounced SMVD, Carmel Convent outclassed Banyan International.
The matches were officiated by Manoj Kumar, Vinod Kumar, Rajesh Bandral, Vaneet Pangotra, Amanjot Singh, Jaskirat Singh, Rishab Sethi, Abhiskek and Kannav Gupta.
The 5-day championship will conclude on September 4, 2017.
