JAMMU, June 5: Media Hindi registered a very close win over Railway XI in a friendly cricket match here at railway ground, this morning.
After winning the toss Media Hindi decided to bat first. In the very first ball of the match, Amit Sudan broke the ice and got two wickets in the same over. Naveen Koul took 4 wickets and finally railway registered 116 runs on the score board while losing all wickets.
It was the pitch’s uncertain behavior that while batting Media lost its 5 precious wickets continuously. Rahul Khatri played a very serious game and faced the responsibility. His 32-runs inning put Media in a safe position. Amit Sudan was declared as man of the match.
Speaker, J&K Assembly, Kavinder Gupta was the chief guest on the occasion. Guest of honors who joined the event were Rajesh Gupta, MLA East, DTM Railway, SK Singh, Subash Shastri, president, NRMU and Ajay Kapoor from Sherkhan.
Others who were present in the match were SSP Railway, Rajinder Gupta, SDM South, Sonu Pargal and District BJP president, Baldev Singh Baloria.
