KARGIL, June 5: Late Capt Saurabh Kalia LoC Cricket Tournament concluded here today with Alistan Chanigund defeated RC Shimsha in the final match.
GOC, 8 Mountain Division was the chief guest and Executive Councilor, LAHDC for Health, Moshin Ali, was guest of honor.
The Tournament was organized by ‘Sewak’, an NGO of Kaksar village to pay tributes to Kargil hero, late Capt Saurabh Kalia, who sacrificed his life in the service of the Nation during 1999 war.
A total of 40 teams participated in the competition with zeal and zest. The final match was played between Alistan Chanigund V/s RC Shimsha, which was won by former by six wickets. As the venue was close to the LoC, many Pakistanis also witnessed the match from the border.
The chief guest and guest of honour distributed trophy to the winning and runner up teams and individual prizes to various players.
