SAMBA, May 25: Masters of Physical Education has appealed to the Lt Governor and Commissioner Youth Services and Sports to issue orders for their promotion as Zonal Physical Education Officers in Youth Services and Sports Department.
They appealed to the authorities of concerned department to issue the list of newly promoted Zonal Physical Education Officers which is biting dust for last two years.
They said, “We were asked to submit the necessary documents for our further promotion from Physical Education Master to Zonal Physical Education Officers in the month of February 2020. We did the same through proper channel in a very short time. Our vigilance verification was done in the beginning of this year and everything was reported in our favour. But till date the orders were not issued”.
They said that there are more than 125 posts of ZPEOs lying vacant in UT J&K, but it is very strange that the authorities are delaying the issuance of promotion.
“What is the reason behind it when everything was done in our favour? Most of the officials due for promotion have retired or are at verge of retirement and their future is at stake with the delaying tactics adopted by authorities in releasing the list”, they added.
In their appeal to LG, they sought his immediate intervention in the matter.
