KATHUA, Apr 2: Master Kesri Dangal was organized in Seswan in the premises of ancient Lord Shiva temple near Kathua today.
Dr Bharat Bhushan, KAS Officer, was the chief guest on the occasion who declared the Dangal open.
Master Kesri Dangal which attracted enthusiastic crowd in thousands was organized by Master Kewal Krishan Sangra, popularly known as Munnu Master who has been organizing Seswan Dangal since last several years out of his own resources without any assistance from the Government.
Prof Ram Krishan Sharma, SDM Hiranagar Suresh Sharma, Tehsildar Marheen Jatinder Singh,SDPO Border Raghuvir Singh,SHO Sarabjeet Singh and Ganesh Dutt Sharma, former Chief Accounts Officer were the guests of honour on the occasion.
The wrestlers from, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh and J&K participated in the competition.
Some wrestlers who have represented at the National and International levels also took part in wrestling.
Mr Harry, International Wrestler from Canada also participated in the event.
The main attraction of this Dangal was a competition between two specially-abled (Handicapped) Wrestlers namely Rakesh Kumar of Chann Lal Din and Cobra Gang Pehlwan of Domana Akhara.
Dr Bharat Bhushan appreciated the gesture of Master Kewal Krishan Sangra of regularly organizing Seswan Dangal.
He honoured organiser Master Kewal Krishan Sangra, Refree of the event Sardari Lal Sharma – a National Level Refree who represents Country outside also and the main winner of the Dangal.
The winner of main Dangal event was given cash award of one lakh by the Organiser-Munnu Master.
The organizers honoured the chief guest and other dignitaries on the occasion.
