Maharaja Harisingh’s B’day celebrated at MHAC

JAMMU, Sept 21: MHAC School is a legacy donated by Maharaja Harisingh to the state and the country. Maharaja’s Birthday was celebrated with full honour and enthusiasm in the School premises, today.
On this day, over 100 students and teachers from Samaj Kalyan Kendra and Ram Chander Memorial Trust School were invited to participate in the celebrations.
Manager TK Ganjoo, LMC Member DP Khajuria, Brigadier Balbir Singh Sambyal, SP Rural Domana Arun Gupta, SHO Domana Rattan Singh Rana and Sarpanches from all the villages around were the guests of honour on this occasion.
The programme commenced with a floral tribute to the founder of the school.
Principal, Sween Puri with all the dignitaries garlanded the statue and offered floral petals.
Everyone attended the hawan & Bhajans thereafter.
Meanwhile, Maharaja Hari Singh DAV Cent Public School, Akhnoor celebrated 122nd Birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh with great pomp and show.
A ‘yagya’ was organised on the occasion in which Principal and staff actively participated. It was followed by bhajan and kirtan.
Earlier in the programme, principal of the school Alok Betab lighted the traditional lamp and garlanded the portrait of Maharaja Harisingh Ji. He threw light on the contribution of Maharaja Hari Singh Ji for J&K state and DAV schools.
