Low scoring affair as Shastri Club drubs Media XI

JAMMU, Mar 8: Shastri Cricket Club defeated Media XI by a margin of 50 runs in a low scoring match of the ongoing 1st State Level 50-Over Cricket Tournament for Chief Minister’s Cup, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council in collaboration with Country Cricket Academy at Gharota, near here.
Batting  first, Shastri Club scored a paltry total of 95 runs. Anchal Singh and Sachin contributed 21 and 18 runs to the total.For Media XI, Ankur took 3 wickets, while Rahul SAahwney and Ranjeet bagged 2 wickets each.
In reply, Media XI collapsed at 35 runs to lose the match by 50 runs. Anchal Singh plotted the collapse as he took 7 important wickets including a hat-trick.
The tournament is being played in the memory of Late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, Former Chief Minister.
