JAMMU, Sept 20: On the second day of ‘Display Your Talent-2017′ organized by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu, the event of Light Vocal Solo was conducted, here today.
Dean Students Welfare, Prof. Satnam Kour, Associate Dean (SW), Dr Anupama Vohra, Assistant Dean (SW) Dr AR Manhas, Dr Daud Iqbal Baba, members of campus cultural committee, students’ cultural council and office bearers of the University of Jammu were present during the event.
In Light Vocal Solo, 65 students participated in which Vikram from Institute of Music and Fine Arts was adjudged first. The second position was shared by Vishakha from GCW Gandhi Nagar, Vishwa Gandharav from Department of Law and Karuna Majotra from Institute of Music and Fine Arts and the third position was also shared by three candidates, Vanshika Jaral and Nandani Kapoor from GCW Parade and Vishali Devi from GCW Udhampur. Certificates of Merit were awarded to Suraj Dogra from GDC Udhampur, Abhita Sharma from GCW Udhampur, Robin Singh from School of Hospitality and Management, JU, Guneet Singh from Department of Geography and Sanchit from GDC RS Pura. Om Parkash Thappar, Dr. Gaveesh and Dr. Aksa Chaman Rao were the Judges and Dr. Sarita Sood was the Teacher In-Charge for the event.
The event was coordinated by Sumeet Sharma (Drama Instructor). Ankita Chopra, Kanika Sharma, Manreet Kour, Anjali Sharma, Mohit Mahajan, Honeyka Mahajan, Mohd. Yasir and Divya Sharma looked after the Hall Management. The sound was operated by Kulbhushan Thakur.
