KATHUA, Jan 4: LB Shastri Delhi team and Haryana Cricket Academy sailed into semifinals of the ongoing 11th Police Martyrs T-20 Cricket Championship by defeating Life Care Club Lucknow and SPJ Gurgaon by 47 and 32 runs respectively, being played at Sports Stadium, here today.
The 3rd quarterfinal match was played between LB Shastri Cricket Club Delhi and Life Care Club Lucknow in which LB Shastri Delhi won the toss and elected to bat first and gave a target of 129 runs in the stipulated 20 overs by losing 6 wickets. Sumit scored 49 runs in 37 balls, studded 2 boundaries and 3 maximum.
In reply, Life Care Lucknow failed to chase the target and bundled out at 82 runs in 16.4 overs and lost the match. Sumit Chikara was declared as man of the match.
In the fourth quarterfinal match, Haryana Cricket Academy won the toss and chose to bat first and gave the target of 126 runs by losing 8 wickets. Vivan Yadav made 40 runs off 44 balls. In reply, SPJ Gurgaon team was unable to chase down the given target and bundled out at 94 runs in 18.4 overs.
Shubham was declared as man of the match for his outstanding bowling spell wherein he took 3 wickets.
