Laxmi Cricket Club drubs Ravish CC by 5 wkts

JAMMU, May 16: Laxmi Cricket Club got the better of Ravish Cricket Club by 5 wickets in the ongoing JKCA District Level Premier Cricket Championship, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association, under the overall supervision of retired Judge, Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here.
The Organising Committee members include Rajesh Gill, Rajesh Dhar, Vijay Saberwal, Vijay Sharma and Harsh Nayyar.
Earlier, Ravish Cricket Club (RCC) won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, RCC scored 154 runs in 30 overs, losing 8 wickets in the process. Snoop top scored with 40 runs, while Rohit and Pranav contributed 21 runs each. For Laxmi Cricket Club, Amandeep Singh, Sant Baksh and Govind took 2 wickets each.
In reply, Laxmi Cricket Club scored the required runs in 24.3 overs by losing 5 wickets, thus won the match by 5 wickets. Vikram Dogra top scored with 60 off 57 balls, studded with 6 boundaries, while Anuj contributed 52 off 44 balls, including 5 fours and one six. For Ravish Cricket Club, Ankur took 3 wickets, while Sidharth claimed 2 wickets. Vikram Dogra of Laxmi Cricket Club was adjudged as the man of the match.
The match was officiated by Saleem-ur-Rehman, Sadiq Hussain Malik and Rahul Kumar.
In tomorrow’s fixture, KC Sports Club will lock horns with Evershine Cricket Club at 9 am.
