Lalitaditya CC, BNCC, Sharda script victories

JAMMU, Feb 12: Lalitaditya Cricket Club defeated Sharda Cricket Club by 6 wickets in the inaugural match of Kashmiri Pandit Premier League Edition-4 at KC Sports Club. Batting first, Sharda Cricket Club scored a modest total of 106 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 9 wickets in the process.
Rohit Raina was the top scorer with 35 runs off 36 balls studded with 6 boundaries. For Lalitaditya Cricket Club, Dileep Dhar and Sunny Bhan took 3 wickets each by giving away 16 runs in their 4 overs.
In reply, Lalitaditya CC chased the target easily in 13.2 overs by losing 4 wickets to win the match by 6 wickets. In the other match played today, BNCC registered a thrilling victory over VR Events by 2 runs. Batting first, BNCC scored 117 runs in 20 overs. Sagar Pandita top scored with 34 runs off 31 balls studded with 5 boundaries.
For VR Events, Vicky Bhat and Vishal took 3 wickets each. In reply, VR Events fell short of just two runs, scoring 115 for all, thus lost the match in a thrilling contest by 2 runs. Praful Dhar played a brilliant innings of 46 runs off 37 balls, studded with 6 fours and one six, while Vishal contributed 23 off 20 balls with 3 boundaries. Sandeep Dhar was the pick of the bowlers for BNCC, who took 3 wickets by conceding 11 runs.
In yet another match of the day, Sharda Cricket Club thrashed Moon Strikers Cricket Club by 9 wickets.
Batting first, Moon Strikers Cricket Club scored 90 runs in 20 overs. Deepak (27) and Ishant Sehgal (14) were the main contributors. Vizzy took 3 wickets for Sharda Cricket Club, while King Ji and Hitesh claimed 2 wickets each. In reply, Sharda Cricket Club chased the target easily in 10 overs, losing one wicket in the process, thus won the match by 9 wickets. Vinod Koul top scored with unbeaten 48 runs, while Rahul contributed unbeaten 26 runs to the total. For Moon Strikers, Rajat claimed the lone wicket to fall. The tournament is being organised by Lalitaditya Sports, Education and Health Organisation.
