KV2 XI beats JCC by 28 runs

JAMMU, June 19: KV2 XI defeated Jaguar Cricket Club (JCC) by 28 runs in a T-20 match at KV2 School Ground, here today.
KV2 XI won the toss and opted to bat first.
Batting first, Samendar Rathore’s unbeaten 69 runs with the help of other batters including Navjot Singh (26 runs) and Sachin Kumar (26 runs) scored 147 runs by losing 4 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. From the bowling side, Harveer took 2 wickets, while IP Singh and Harmeet clinched 1 wicket each.
In reply, JCC started well with Gurmeet’s 25 runs as well as Jeevanjot’s 23 runs but the good fielding lead to two run outs by Manjeet and the spin trio of Sachin Kumar, Sushan and Dipankar in middle overs with one wicket each and good fielding kept the runs under control. The JCC could manage only 119 by losing 9 wickets in their stipulated 20 overs. Manjeet was the leading wicket taker with 2 wickets. Rajan took 1 wicket.
The tournament is being organised under the guidance of Kendriya Vidyalaya No 2 Principal, Bhushan Kumar.
